NEU Leicestershire officers and activitists attended the Together Against the Far Right March on Saturday 28th March 2026, making use of the free coach jointly provided by NEU Leicestershire and City of Leicester Districts.
The demonstration was HUGE, with organisers reporting half a million in attendance. The Together alliance, made up of trade unions, celebrities, musicians and interest groups has been heavily funded by the NEU, and our former general secretary, Kevin Courtney, acts as its chairman.
It was reported at NEU conference that there were over 15,000 of our members in attendance, and there were many NEU regional and district banners proudly on display.
